Arab Architecture Week
Arab Architecture Week is a cultural initiative launched by ArchiNet in 2020, which has since evolved into an annual program celebrating architecture, urbanism, and design across the Arab region. The Week was founded to spotlight leading Arab architects, award-winning projects, and the significant studies and research shaping the field — and with each season, it has grown into an open platform that brings together architects, researchers, and designers from across the Arab world, spanning disciplines and generations.
Across six seasons since its launch, Arab Architecture Week has hosted more than 200 lectures and talks delivered by architects, institutions, and academics from throughout the Arab world, exploring pioneering projects, innovative research, and a wide range of professional and academic experiences. With its fifth season in 2024 and sixth season in 2025, the program transitioned to a community-led participatory model, opening the floor for practitioners and researchers to submit their proposals. More than 280 submissions were received, with a selected group invited to take part in the program.
Arab Architecture Week aims to enrich Arabic architectural content, foster professional dialogue, and build sustainable channels of communication among Arab architects — while documenting their work and experiences within an open knowledge archive for the region.
